Academy for Venue Management

1– 6 September, 2013

Sporon Monastery Retreat Centre, Hungary

European Academy of Venue Management (EAVM) founded in 2007 is dedicated to helping venue managers operate safe and efficient venues.  Our two year program provides students with information about all aspects of venue management taught by the best team of top industry professionals.  This year, in order to improve the educational experience, the Board of Regents has decided to conduct the classes at the beautifully renovated Sopron Monastery Retreat Centre, Hungary.  Ground transportation will be provided to students and instructors from Vienna International Airport, Austria.

In addition to classes on the best practices of venue management, students will get the opportunity to visit top venues in Vienna, Austria and a large outdoor festival site in Hungary.  The Sopron Monastery provides a fantastic learning environment with quiet classrooms, a library with work stations, and a meditation room.  But, while we work hard at EAVM, we also have fun.  There is a private lounge for students and instructors to relax in the evenings, and a celebration dinner after graduation.  Meals are served in the monastery’s gourmet restaurant.

Accommodations at the Sopron Monastery are limited, so students are encouraged to register early.  There are 16 single rooms and 6 rooms to be shared by 2 students each.  Once these rooms are filled, additional space will be reserved at a nearby facility, but then students will have to travel to the monastery for all classes, meals, and group activities.  There are discounts for early registration, and sharing a room.

We look forward to seeing you at EAVM in September.
