2012 IAVM-Europe Annual Conference

Bordeaux, France

The Bordeaux Congress Centre has been chosen for this years' event, following the successful organisation of the Annual Conference and Trade Show in Marseille last year. With France having been awarded the European Football Championships in 2016 and the French Football Federation bid including 12 stadiums (of which 4 will be new and 7 requiring major renovations with a total budget in excess of 1.7 billion) Bordeaux is a site of one of these new facilities.

Work on the Bordeaux stadium should have commenced by June 2012 and delegates to the conference will possibly have an opportunity to view progress during the course of the event. Bordeaux Football Club, anchor tenant of the new facility, have given their support to the event and are excited that the event offers a unique learning experience by having the best brains in the industry come to their project during its inception.
